IIT Bombay Technical Group 2 (TG-2) participated in the inaugural Annual Quantum Conclave under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), hosted by Qmet Tech, IIT Bombay, at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
The conclave served as a common platform for bringing together the four Technology Innovation Hubs established under the National Quantum Mission—Qmet Tech (IIT Bombay), Samgnya Technologies Foundation (IIT Madras–C-DOT), Foundation for Quantum Computing Innovation (IISc Bengaluru), and Quantum Materials and Devices (QMD) Foundation (IIT Delhi)—along with supported startups, researchers selected through the Quantum Algorithms Call for Proposals, and representatives from undergraduate quantum laboratories established under the mission.
The three-day event focused on reviewing the progress made by the four hubs over the past year, highlighting ongoing research, technology development, startup initiatives, and collaborative activities. Members of the Mission Governing Board (MGB) and the Mission Technical Review Committee (MTRC) interacted with participants, providing valuable feedback and strategic guidance to strengthen the mission's research and innovation ecosystem.
As a participant, IIT Bombay TG-2 showcased its ongoing research and technological developments in quantum materials and devices while engaging with researchers, startups, and industry stakeholders from across the country's quantum ecosystem. The conclave facilitated knowledge exchange, encouraged interdisciplinary collaborations, and provided insights into emerging opportunities and challenges in quantum science and technology.
The event reinforced the importance of coordinated efforts across academia, research institutions, industry, and government in advancing the objectives of the National Quantum Mission and accelerating the development of India's quantum technology ecosystem.
